Maw (b.1966, Wellington) graduated from Elam School of Fine Arts with an MFA in 2002. Maw’s paintings reference her Catholic upbringing, with large-scale hyper-realistic figures rendered in oils reminiscent of religious iconography, but melded with contemporary subjects. She is represented in Wellington by Peter McLeavey Gallery and in Auckland by Ivan Anthony Gallery.
