Born in Geneva, Switzerland, Armleder lives and works between there and New York. He was educated in his home town at the School of Fine Arts where he completed his studies in 1967. Armleder is multi-talented and his achievements are testament to this; he is not only a painter, sculptor and performance artist but also a critic and curator.
